Jump into 2019 with Memphis-Midsouth DSA!

It's a new year in Memphis, and with a new year comes some new changes for Memphis-Midsouth DSA. We're excited to talk about a few of them in this email.

  • We've worked with the Memphis Public Library system to ensure that we have a consistent, reliable meeting space for our general meetings. All of our 2019 monthly general meetings will be at the Benjamin Hooks Main Library, and we'll have a meeting calendar to hand out at our next general meeting. (Jan. 15th at 6pm)
  • We've also reached out to Caritas Village in Binghampton, and we will be hosting several social and educational events there in the coming months. (The newly renovated space looks great, and we encourage everyone to go check it out!)
  • We're forming a local DSA Reading Group, and encourage anyone who is interested in joining to attend the first Reading Group meeting on Jan. 14th at the P&H Cafe, starting at 7pm.
  • Last, but not least, during our past two general meetings the members of Memphis-Midsouth DSA have selected our current priorities for the coming year. (While the 4 items listed in the meeting notes are our current priorities, we are always open to feedback from members as well.)

We invite you to follow us on social media, come out to a meeting, bring a friend, and help us build socialism in the Mid-South!

Note: We are working with MARCH (Memphis Area Radical Childcare) to provide childcare services for our general meetings and other events. If you plan to attend an event and will need childcare, please contact us with the number of children you will bring and their ages. Thanks!
